Afi Backup for Salesforce

Afi SaaS backup protects Salesforce production organizations and sandboxes, including standard and custom SObjects, their records and fields, Salesforce Files and attachments, and object metadata.

Afi adopts a multi-tenant organizational and access model tailored to enterprise use cases, complete with comprehensive audit for user and system activities as well as extensive monitoring capabilities. Administrators can configure granular access through custom access groups and assign separate backup schedules and retention settings to each production organization or sandbox.

Backup, export, and recovery

Afi provides fine-grained recovery capabilities for supported writable Salesforce SObjects and records, preserving supported relationships between recovered records. Recovery can cover an entire resource, selected SObjects, or individual records and target the original resource or another connected Salesforce production organization or sandbox.

Backed-up Salesforce data can also be exported in industry-standard formats, including CSV and JSON Lines for records, original binary files for supported Files and attachments, and Salesforce-compatible XML for available object metadata.

Browse, search, and explore backup data

To help users navigate large backup datasets and select data for recovery and export, Afi offers a range of data browse and search capabilities, including:

  • Online data and metadata preview with customizable record tables;
  • Search across supported record fields with object-specific filters and advanced queries;
  • Navigation across backed-up relationships, related records, and Files;
  • Ability to view retained versions of records and Files, including data that no longer exists in Salesforce;
  • Search across retained snapshots or within a selected backup version;
  • Data export and recovery of supported writable records from search results.

Monitoring, reliability, and support

As a SaaS backup solution, Afi takes a proactive approach to service reliability and resiliency by implementing continuous monitoring of service health and activities (e.g., backups, restores). Detected service-side issues are proactively investigated and resolved.

Afi is resilient to Salesforce API errors and temporary throttling, automatically retrying transient failures. Tasks and monitoring views identify persistent Salesforce configuration, permission, or capacity issues that require administrator attention.

Additionally, Afi offers 24/7 technical support to address all requests, from technical configuration and product questions to service issue reports.
